Benin's traditional National Day celebrations this year, 2026, were graced by the presence of a Nigerian troupe, who distinguished themselves with a superb performance that added a special touch to the military parade.
Nigeria made a significant contribution to the official events celebrating Benin's 66th Independence Day. The troupe from the eastern giant took to the stage and delivered an exceptional performance. During the foot parade in which they participated, members of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria enhanced the festivities with a choreographed display.

Throughout their performance, they demonstrated remarkable coordination. At each stage of their display, the public expressed their approval with enthusiastic applause. Focused and proud to contribute to Benin's national celebration, the "comrades" from the East ensured a truly memorable event. Without a doubt, they left a memorable mark on Marina Boulevard. The Nigerian army provided President Romuald Wadagni with a vibrant display for the first national parade of his reign. This Saturday, August 1st, 2026, marks the first Independence Day celebration for the new president, who took office on May 24th.
