For the Development of Ekiti : Olayode Omotoso, a Man of Culture, a Man of Unity
Here is the English translation of your article, ready for publication:---Ekiti Development: Olayode Omotoso, a Man of Culture, a Man of UnityIt is not only roa…

It is not only roads and bridges that develop a State. There are also ideas. And in Ekiti, Nigeria, that idea bears a name: Honorable Olayode Omotoso.

Former representative of the Ido/Osi constituency at the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Olayode Omotoso is a candidate to return to business. He is not a politician like the others. Besides his political cloak, he is first and foremost a man of theatre, a practitioner and above all a guardian of Yoruba culture, convinced that without cultural unity, there is no sustainable development. In 2017 for example, while rivalries between kings, political leaders and Yoruba elites were paralyzing the South-West of Nigeria, Hon. Olayode Omotoso struck hard. He produced a manifesto film: "Isokan Omo Oduduwa" (The Unity of the Descendants of Oduduwa).

A film like no other. Produced by Olasca Media Network and sponsored by the House of Oduduwa, the film was launched at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ife, in the presence of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi. The message was clear and remains relevant for the development of Ekiti. "The Yoruba people are a civilized people, but the enmity between our leaders has prevented us for years from realizing the dreams of our founding fathers. This film will rekindle our memory and reverse this age-old enmity."

Omotoso's theory is simple and powerful. No investment without peace, no peace without culture, and no culture without memory. Hence the importance of paying tribute to Oduduwa, the progenitor, to remind us where we come from. In this sense, Honorable Olayode Omotoso embodies what Governor Biodun Oyebanji called "a pillar of development." It is clear. The ADC candidate is not just a builder of infrastructure, but a builder of bridges between people.
