The African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate for Ido/Osi Constituency 1 in the Ekiti State House of Assembly, former lawmaker Hon. Olayode Omotoso, alias Alasca, has made grassroots proximity the cornerstone of his electoral strategy. His method: an innovative initiative dubbed the "Health Walk."
According to Hon. Olayode Omotoso, this walk, organized every two weeks in the different wards of the constituency, not only helps maintain physical fitness but, above all, helps preserve the health of the people.

Instead of focusing solely on how to secure a seat in the Assembly, the candidate is prioritizing the well-being of the population. "This program we have initiated is an exercise we do every two weeks. We did it in Ward 2 two weeks ago, and yesterday we did it in Ward 1," he explained.
Hon. Omotoso and his team saw massive public buy-in for the initiative. This was evidenced by the large turnout in the streets during the latest edition, held this Sunday, October 11, 2026, in Ward 1 of Ido/Osi, following the one organized in Ward 2 a fortnight ago.

The tour of this impressive and compelling initiative will continue in other localities in the coming weeks. The slogan accompanying the initiative is clear: "Let's Walk for a Healthy Constituency." Through this action, the ADC candidate intends to combine community health, listening to grievances, and political mobilization ahead of the Ekiti State House of Assembly election.
