In a remarkable political move, OLASCA embarked on an extensive town-to-town declaration tour covering nine key communities: Ifaki-Ekiti, Ido-Ekiti, Orin-Ekiti, Aaye-Ekiti, Oke-Ora-Ekiti, Odo-Ora-Ekiti, Ilogun-Ekiti, Ifisin-Ekiti, and Igbole-Ekiti. From dawn to dusk, the message was the same: OLASCA is back to serve.
Ifaki-Ekiti Steals the Show
While every town offered a warm reception, Ifaki-Ekiti became the defining moment of the tour. A massive, energetic crowd thronged the streets to welcome OLASCA and his entourage. Youths, women leaders, community elders, and political stakeholders turned out in large numbers, transforming the declaration into a carnival of support. The electrifying atmosphere in Ifaki, a key political stronghold in the constituency, underscored the significance of the moment and the deep connection OLASCA maintains with the grassroots."This is not just about contesting, it is about reconnecting with my people and finishing what we started," OLASCA told supporters amid cheers.
A Tested Leader Seeks Return
Olayode Omotoso is no stranger to the Assembly. He represented Ido-Osi Constituency 1 from 2015 to 2018, a tenure many residents still recall for its accessibility and people-focused representation. Now, he is presenting himself as an experienced, tested hand ready to give Ido-Osi a stronger, louder voice in Ado-Ekiti at a time when the constituency demands jobs, youth empowerment, infrastructural development, and inclusive leadership.The declaration tour also brought together members of the OPM political family, loyalists, and supporters united by a common vision for the future of Ido-Osi.By choosing a grassroots tour over a single-hall declaration, OLASCA has set the tone for his campaign: close to the people, listening to the people, and driven by the people. Olasca has declared. Ido-osi has responded. The journey to victory has begun.
